Root Element Missing

All of the sudden, my IR box stopped working. So, I uninstall the drivers and reinstalled them. Now it works (well at least the light flashes) but XL get an error at startup. When it goes through its startup process, when it gets to the IR process, I get the error:

Root element Missing.

Does anyone have any ideas?
