i don't think so, same way i made the drinks database, i made a main list page, then a details page.
i am assuming the same thing goes for the mealmaster database.
then you would add the search feature, the same way, this narrows down your search.

try it out, put the database in xlobby, then make a copy of the music page, and point it to the meals database.
see if it lists all the foods.

that's what i am going to do when i get home from work.

Sorry, I was on my way home when I typed that. I don't know too much about it, but here's the original post:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3061&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=mealmaster

At the bottom of the first page you can download the converter from Lar's post. What it does is converts mealmaster style recipes into xml format that you can then create databases on. It also has some additional plugin variables to help display it in a xlobby screen.

Here are some additional files that may or may not help. Sorry, I haven't really used any of it...thought about it, but not used it, so I can't really aid in any support.

here is the meals database and some files
http://www.cyberdyne-sys.com/upload/meals.rar

i made them quick but they work fine.
you'll have to create the events for the buttons, other than that, it's straight forward.
made for 800x600 screens
great for the touchscreen in the kitchen
hope you like it.

yea thanks Lar,
without the database, forget it, it would have been a pain in the butt.

i made it quick and dirty, sorry about that, i figured if i gave out the base version, someone would expand on it.
it's funny, for the search, i type meatball and i get 6 pages of recipies

YUMMY

Hmm. I get 3 pages. Are you running a max of 10 recipes per screen?
I get a total of 25 meatball recipes.

looks great jay

i changed my output, because of the touchscreen, i have to make all the buttons bigger, so less fits on the screen, giveing me more pages. but it's funny, i think people like pushing the buttons and going thru the menus, more than the data that is being displayed. lol

I have a question, i noticed there is a category in the database (cakes, garlic, pasta, etc)
is there a way to sort by those categories first.
the very first button set should be all the categories, then when you click the category, you get all the recipies, then the details.
but i couldn't figure out how to query all the catgegories, then display them as a filter.
in SQL terms i want to do a SELECT DISTINCT.

any ideas?

it's funny, i just noticed you are from pa.
I just sold a house i had in pa, i bought it in 2000, and sold it last year.
Pocono pines, 30 min west of the Delaware river, by the outlet mall and cammelback.
i needed to buy outside of NY, so i can finally get a house out on long island, lol

it was great, i had season passes for cammelback, i'm a big snowboarder.
it was fun, i was sad to see it go.

small world!!!!!
