I would like to know as well as I'm about to skin this section of the app and would prefer to use native support rather than implement a plug-in.

It should make it into the next release. First the screens are build out with 24 presests for each genre. There is really no direct link or exchange of data like a plugin between xLobby and the new menus. I have just created 24 web IP address for each genre.

The next set of features we want to add will provide access in the skin editor for users to be able to just drop the IP address on the button + there will be a feature for the user to be able to do the same thing as well as a few minor menu functions. Maybe we can add some data back from shoutcast to xLobby and make some things easier for searching and selection but all of these websites are subject to constant change and thus break the connection between xLobby and them, so in many cases we have to update xLobby or make it a seperate plugin that needs constant attention and updating from time to time.

If there was a standard that everyone agreed on then it would be easy to have a more reliable integration of shoutcast and many other websites that have streaming audio and video content. This is one major issue we are facing right now is if we pursue integration of HULU, Joost, Netflix, etc. and integrate this into xLobby, does it warrant spending many hours of valuable programming resources and testing to have them change the structure of the content on there websites or will some of these companies simply dissapear if they can not generate sustainable revenue. :?

Thanks for the response. And you are right, the connection format these web stations use is always changing, not to mention that many of them are one man operations that are here today and gone tomorrow
