Toggle Button

Got an idea, post it here

Toggle Button

This has been asked before, but I will ask again. How about a toggle button? This can reduce the clutter on the screens as one button can do the work of 2 (ie. one button to toggle between on and off)

Are there any plans to implement this then?

Is a toggle button the same as custom switch. Like mute or shuffle. Or is a toggle a button with 2 events, depending on what state it is in? Like play -> toggle-> pause. I request both.

Colby, by toggle I mean the 2 event type button, like the power button (ie. no discreet on and off) on a simple remote. This would help reduce clutter on the screen if you can click the same button to turn on then off a device.

I 've thought something.
Maybe Steven could implement for the buttons class:

a new integer attribut : 0 meaning it's a classical button, 1 for a toogle button and n>1 for a button with n+1 different successive states.

an integer variable wich determinate the state of the button (<n+1) and wich can be set by user with events or a script.

Sorry for my bad English.

This is not implemented yet. See the above sticky post named "Specialized Buttons"
