The commandline switch to hide the splash doesn't work repeatably for me. The best solution is a registry edit, add a DWORD HideSplash=1 to

HKLM\Software\Theatertek\Theatertek DVD 2.0\

Dredging up an old thread...

Postby briands on Sun Aug 14, 2005 10:19 pm

Finally getting around to setting up XLobby. I have TT2.0 and am trying to get it to work with the default skin. I changed the Filtypes by deactivating ZP and activating TT. When I select a movie to play, TT launches, but does not play. The file does not seem to be passed.

Any thoughts?

I am using the command line -

/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%\video_ts.ifo

Thanks!

either try %parameter% instead OR set up TT to auto play on open the application.

Thanks. Neither of those worked. It seems that the file is not being loaded as none of the TT commands (mouse select on the screen) work either.

In file types you need to uncheck the use tt so that none are selected.

Thanks for that...but... that seems very counter intuitive. What is that setting (enable) for?

If you only use TT and not any other player you can disable all of them and make sure TT is windows default player. IE if you click on an ifo in windows make sure TT launches - should work.

BTW my TT line in xlobby is:

"/AP 2 /pl %playlist%" without quotes.

Hi,

Back on the TT question, in that when you "enable" TT in the "File Types" section and make use of the following command line switches

/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%\video_ts.ifo.

Basically TT starts but doens't load the movie. What is the correct parameters that you need to use for TT and XLobby?

My thoughts on when you disable TT it works. This has the downside of preventing you from adding Trailers before the movie starts as you can't assign a start event.

Couple of questions,

- Has anybody got TT working and actually has it enabled in the "File Types" section
- Has anybody got TT working and playing trailers before the main feature?

What I have found is to set up NOTHING in XLOBBY for IFO playback but to tell Windows that when an IFO file is selected use TT2 to play the file. You do this through normal extension associations. Then when Xlobby attempts to launch the IFO Windows takes over and it works fine.

Bkilburn,

Thanks for your reply. I have got TT working much the same way as you, however since it is outside of XLobby you can't configure different events, ie play a Dolby Digital trailer before the main movie etc.

I'm hoping someone might be able to explain how this works for them...

i'm trying to figure out the same thing... seems your problems go away when you remove TT from file types... also, so far can't hide the splashscreen w/ registry dword edit or command line switch w/ in XL
