Sending events to girder using the event manager

Wow! I think the penny is finally starting to drop! Simon, I understood what you said pretty well. Don't undersell yourself.

In the event manager, the events in the SKINS folder override those same events elsewhere. So X will look there first, and if it can't find what it's looking for there it will look elsewhere?

So, say I didn't want to change the volume commands that are already there, could I go into the event manager, create new events (say newvol up & newvol down) assign the girder "sendmessage" names to them that I've already set up in Girder, then go into the skin editor and assign the new events to the existing volume buttons? Would that work?

BTW.....thanks to everyone for sharing! I knew XLobby was powerful, I just didn't know how to harness it! This has really helped a lot. :D
