I have a PVR250 in my main HTPC, but I am hoping to use some of my cheaper tuners with Xlobby so I can have more recording options. I would however considering investing in another PVR250MCE if you do support it as it's one of the better cards. Good luck with the plugin!

FusionII with GotTV.

Steven you should really talk to Tony at gottvpvr.com. There is NO other PVR software that does everything GotTV does, especially if you want HDTV, unless you spend $1K on HD-TIVO or Dish 921 DVRs.

It's a work in progress but it's pretty damn stable and full-featured. XML-defined skin, XMLTV guide, ffdshow support, codec selection, send and receive Girder events - lots more. The next release is going to have the ability to run as a service so it will have the ability to wake the computer for scheduled recordings. It works with any capture card that has a WDM driver.

It's a huge undertaking to write a DVR, time much better spent improving XLobby instead.

I think an XLobby/XML/Skin guru could get the EPG and launching stuff for XLobby together pretty quickly so it would work with any DVR software that can take a few simple startup commands, like start recording or switch to channel X. The other thing it needs is management of recorded files, similar to the DVD screens.

mate, i have that card too  but i cant get any good recording quality, especially in sound, it sucks, i htough, do you have the same ? if not, what software drivers and that things are you using ?

hope you can help me out

BTW, i dont want to vote before i get little info :), in quality (recording and seeing), is ATI AIW and PVR250/300 different ? if not, AIW would be pretty cool, because 9800AIW aint that expensive anymore :), around 2000sek for the cheaper

i vote for DVB, or for something like PVR, a card with hardware decoding, but DVB is cool :D, but theyre changin the system after summer i have read, so i dont think its something to get involved in, DVB, wait for it till after summer to see how it looks like
