Does anyone use SS Beyond TV and need an integration writeup

Anyone anyone? If I am the only loser that uses it, I aint gonna waste my time documenting. Pretty simple config, but may be a help to document it...

Sure, fire away. Are you talking about the command lines that go straight to live tv, recorded shows and tv guide?

Very useful! May you send us a link to your TV page? looks very interesting! I'm in the process of evaluate SageTV vs BTV, but the latter is better if integrated in Xlobby (less work to do :) )

BTV and XLOBBY ...

Postby kolemieux on Fri Oct 08, 2004 2:20 am

Anyone able to make a nice marriage here? BadaBing did a nice job of doing this with SageTV - is anyone looking to do it with BTV?

here is a list of command line options that I have found

tested and working well:

/mode FS
/mode Windowed
/mode TRUEFS
/mode FAKEFS

/startscreen tv
/startscreen library
/startscreen guide

not tested

/startscreen top
/startscreen home
/startscreen livetv
/startscreen epg / jobs
/startscreen epg / recordings
/closegui
windowed mode options only
/width (value)
/height (value)
/xpos (value)
/ypos (value)
/border [on/off]

hope these help.

And as usual, use at your own risk as I am not responsible :)

The 3.5 version of BTV was released this morning. It new executable and parameters are:

BTVD3DShell.exe (opens to last mode it was in)

BTVD3DShell.exe /displaymode:fs (Full Screen Mode)

BTVD3DShell.exe /displaymode:windowed (Windowed Mode)

I did figure out how to emulate the way Beyond Media integrates BTV. Here's the way I setup Xlobby with it:

1. Set Btv to start in background.

2 Create one event to both execute an execute command for BTVD3DShell.exe and a show window command. For show window the class name is Streamzap.WM.D3D and window name is Beyond TV. Then attach the event to a button.

3. In Girder, add a minimize window command with BTV as its target and learn it to a key on your remote.

4. Turn off the Exit Viewscape option in BTV's web admin. (you won't need it and Beyond Media runs it this way, but ths is optional)

The only difference with Beyond Media and this is that the escape key, when in the main window of BTV, will minimize BTV and go back to BM. Here it takes a key on you remote. Other than that, it looks like it works the same.

Later,

I know Sage TV has been integrated, but has anything ever happened with Beyond TV integration? :?:
