Does Xlooby Support MCE remote ?

Postby jazzar on Thu Nov 17, 2005 5:31 pm

Hi All
I'm fairly new to this so hope this is not a stupid question.
Does XLobby provide FULL support for the MCE 2005 Remote. (I believe Media Portal does.) This could also provide the support needed for those who want to use all the features on Microsoft's new MCE Keyboard.

Xlobby has built in support for a usbuit device. You can get support for your mce remote with girder and a plugin for girder, then you're set.

So...if you are willing to buy a USB-Uirt (an IR reciever/blaster) you can program the IR commands from your MCE remote directly into XLobby. If you want to continue to use your MCE IR reciever then you'll need girder (which has plugins for every IR reciever imaginable) and girder can then send the commands to XLobby.

Sorry for the ignorance, but will USB-UIRT also work in the external applications like Zoom Player, Winamp and foobar run from Xlobby?

I'm looking for the cheapest and/or easiest way to control Xlobby/amplifier/TV via one remote.

of course, xlobby can control these softwares and you control xlobby by your remote (via the usb-uirt). so you can control them
