Backspace as category back

Got an idea, post it here

Backspace as category back

Postby Jibril on Tue Sep 28, 2004 5:11 am

Hi,

I just wanted to ask if you could assign the backspace key to trigger a category back event. I know your working on triggering events with shortcuts, but, for the time being, I thought this would really aid in browsing.

Thanks.

Speaking of back event...

What I'd really like is the ability to define a SINGLE key (on a remote) to act as category BACK, if the category is not on ROOT level, and if it is, to go BACK to the main screen.

I have no idea how this could be implemented without IF/THENs...

Any ideas?

Yes, as a matter of fact I do... I must since XLobby doesn't support IRMan.

Wow...thanks, Steven. It is very handy to have the ability with a keyboard. I did find the way to do this with a remote the way Dalanik wants to do it. The girder2xlobby plugin (found in tips & tricks) allows direct execution of events via a remote.

Thanks again,
Jibril

It does. I have no problems with IRMan or Girder - read the original post :-)
