I use HP tablets, webOS is is useless so i installed android on them all, use it for my xl control as well. http://ipaddress:port/web

but i find some of the features don't work well from a tablet running under independent control (http://ipaddress:port/web)
if i do the mimic, (//ipaddress:port) then things seem to work better, but not 100%.
examples:overlays not displaying correctly(like the zone overlay not showing any data), video not displaying when playing a movie, etc.
i'd say 95% of my issues is overlays not displaying any data with music, zones, movies, etc.

For all you tablet people, what configurations do you use to get your tablets working well.
should i use a different skin? i'm using a default skin from about 3 years ago, modified for my stuff.

i get the same issues if i use any of my ipads, so i assuming it might be the older skin i am using.
any advice or direction would be great!

Try out the new android control. Steven has put out an early version for us to test. He also fixed some problems with the browser interface.

much better, the overlays now show each zone correctly.
i also can now view my lighting overlays, and they close correctly.
GREAT IMPROVEMENT!!!!

just one minor issue, images do not display on the overlay, such as lighting
i am using the xseer plugin,
it only displays the text, not the image (plugin>xseer>lighton)



just a few little issues with the web control.
when viewing the movie database, it does not open up sub directories.
the media player starts to open up on the first click, instead of showing all the sub directories.

on the server, click on a category (ex, tv show), it will then open up all the episodes, click on the episode, then media player launches.

open categories (this is correct using //ip:port)
issue -no background is being displayed.

I like the speech control of the music, it is very accurate. I also like the layout of the new android screen.

Steven, would it be possible to launch other android applications from the new android screen? Arcsoft's TMT5 has a native android controller that works very well. It would be great to launch it from the app.

yah I guess so, it might get moved or turned into a toggle option later but I added a button under "custom" to launch the TM Remote app.
