Howto refresh a database automatically?

I am not clear on this one.

Can you trigger an event to reload/refresh a database?

exemple: you add new mp3 inthe music database, you do not want to exit Xlobby, and you want a button that will say "Update Database". You then go to your music screen and automagically the new music appears!!!

Has anyone done this? If so, how?

I saw something in "category" but I haven't been succesfull in using it.

Just add a button and assign an event with "category -> refresh"
