Application has generated and exception

Postby ChrisOH on Sat Jul 23, 2005 5:22 pm

Hi I have stuffed up my XLobby install again.

Does anyone know how to fix whatever is causing XLobby to fail to launch?

Apparently Process = 0x1ac (428), Thread id =0x248 (584).

I am offered the opportunity to dubug the application but a snowball has a beeter chance in hell!

Any way to recover this without reinstalling?

TIA

Where does Xlobby stall on loading?
If it is at the database, check all your databases and see if one of them became corrupted (just click on them to open them up in Internet Explorer).
Sometimes the xlobby.xml file also becomes corrupted. Just take this out of the Xlobby folder and sees if it still fails to load.

Did you remove the xlobby.xml file?
If that doesn't work, erase the Xlobby2 app and extract a new one from the xlobby zip file.

I deleted or rather moved all the files from the databases folder. Not at the machine right now so cant tell whether I have removed the xml file or not. Where will i find it if that is not too thick?

Thanks again for the help.

The xlobby.xml file and the xlobby2 ap are both in the main Xlobby folder.
Good luck.

The list of files that used to appear ie plugins, databases etc do not show at all.

I will put the database files back in the relevant folders tonight and see what happens then.
