mediaCenter 4.0.2

Postby chadwolcott on Fri Nov 05, 2004 8:30 pm

Well, it has been a while since I did a new skin. Many of the members here weren't even around when I did my first one :D I guess this jsut goes to show how popular xlobby is becoming, due in no small part to the tremendous efforts of steven!

My new skin isn't done yet, but I thought it was about time to put some screen shots up so people could see what it looks like. Well here goes...I'll drop a couple pix in this post and if you want to see more, you can go http://home.comcast.net/~chad.wolcott/4.0.2/index.htm

There are a couple things I've implemented here that require manual DB modifications. I'm hoping we can get some of this functionality built into xlobby itself...enjoy!

Very nice. In addition to a fresh look, you appear to have come up with some new ideas for displaying things. When will it be ready for postiong?

thanks...it should be ready shortly. I need to create some new images, as I've obviously "borowed" some images from other skins. I'll be making some more changes to it over the next week and hope to have it ready then.

Did you use the beta of Sage Studio to modify the Sage skin or did you do it by going into the Sage config file?

Great to see the post of your skin Chad. You know I have been waiting a long time for this and it will definately be my primary skin.

I really just haven't had time lately todo anything with it. I'm in Japan for a week on business. When I get back I should have some time to clean it up a bit for distribution.

For the movie screen, I am assuming the green button indicates the status (online/offline) of the associated movie. How did you go about implimenting this function? Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I know Chad is very busy, so I'm answering for him
In the skin editor, select your category and go to the section "category", then under-section :"display". There, you can assign pictures for offline items and online items…

To inform which items are offline or online, go to the set up , section "databases" , select your database, then press edit: in the database editor there is a checkbox "offline" check this box for your offline items :
