Outside Run Commands

Is it or could it, be possible to use an outside command to trigger a screen or such within XL?

Scenario: I use an x10 device to announce someone coming into my backyard, this in turn could trigger my security cam. Would be nice if this could then change my XL screen to a cam viewer automatically, regardless what I am doing.

Do able?????

If your app can do sendmessage then u can. I use it from Girder to xlobby.
