on/off instead of toggle

Got an idea, post it here

on/off instead of toggle

Would it be possible to make commands that would really make it possible to turn on or off explicitly functions that are now on toggle?

I'm talking about shuffle, repeat, mimic, etc.

Right now, I can toggle the function assuming that their start setting is off, but what i'd like to be able to do is explicitly tell it to turn shuffle ON, without caring weather it's OFF or ON....

Also, I'd like to be able to remember the setting of i.e. SHUFFLE, and then turn it ON, and later set it to whatever it was prior to turning it on (hope that makes sense)....

Thanx,

D.

Yes, now that we have toggle buttons it makes even more sense...
