New option request for vertical scrolling

Postby YaKa12 on Thu Mar 10, 2005 10:57 am

Hello Steven,

Would it be possible in a future version to have a "vertical scrolling" feature for long texts that don't fit in the text object on the screen ?

I am setting up a "Television Watching TV Skin" with the plugin XLTV from babubo, the EPG program descriptions are often too long to be displayed on one screen, so a "vertical scrolling text option" would be needed.

Best regards

+1, I resquested something about that before, it's here: http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2316&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
maybe it's better if we can use a "paging" fonction, where the text is displayed on several pages when it's too long for one page, then use an event to change page...

thanks,

I just create it directly in the xml database under a new sub.

EG.

</item>
<item>
<parameter>C:\Brw32\Music\Linkin Park\Meteora\07 - Faint.mp3</parameter>
<display>Faint</display>
<type>track</type>
<information>
<tracknumber>7</tracknumber>
<trackname>Faint</trackname>
<trackfilename>07 - Faint.mp3</trackfilename>
<artist>Linkin Park</artist>
<lyrics>Past the lyrics here '<---- New Sub'
</information>
</item>

I have tested it in xlobby with a few songs and it works but i need the scroll feature.

Admittedly i have done the test using cut and paste with only 10 songs but i am pretty sure i can whip something up to do it automatically.

I currently use winlyrics http://www.winlyrics.com which works quite well and can display embedded lyrics and txt files. I use evillyrics to get the lyrics in text format and JR Media Center with king sparta's plugin to get the lyrics emedded in the tag.
