Need solution to hide mouse

I am building a remote only xlobby interface. I'm currently working on the picture screen. When I use my remote to goto:pictures, the mouse is away from the thumbnails causing a red border around them and messing up my remote navigation. I used girder to change the absolute mouse position so it is over the thumbs but I don't get the effect I want. I still have to move the mouse a bit before I can use the nav keys on the remote to move around the thumbnails.

Ultimately I would like to be able to disable the mouse completely in winXP with a hotkey combination.

Would appreciate some ideas...

Make the thumbnails your default "button".

twit... The thumbnails were already on default but that led me to the problem. I del some of the user buttons and I hid some. The ones that were hidden were still set as nav items and my mouse was catching them.

So setting the thumbs as default and the only nav item did it. It works like a charm now...
