msi packages for beginners

Postby lar282 on Mon May 17, 2004 2:24 pm

Hi
I have no clue if this is interesting so I will remove it if nobody wants it.

I created a installation package that includes the following.
*Xlobby with my skin
*dscaler
*Mplayer
*O2Grabber
*zoomplayer
*winamp

All u have to do is run the msi file and then start xlobby. zoomplayer is all prepared and ready to go. mplayer is used for all media files exept dvd:s. O2grabber is for getting xml tv guide in sweden. dscaler for watching TV.
Of cource dscaler must be configured cause u don't have the same card as I do(avertv dvb-t)

the installation package add nothing to the registry exept for regging the 2 AX files and zoomplayer info.

Like I said. I did this one for a buddy of mine, and if it's not interesting to anybody I'll remove it. OK

the file is xlobby_with_all.msi (take latest verison)

Lasse, your ftp seems to be down, send the file over to my ftp and i will put it on my webserver. its online 24/7.

217.210.177.155 port:21

L:xlobby
P:xlobby

the upload directory is located directly on the webserver, so when you have uploaded the file it should be on the webserver.

I made a msi that asks for database drive/folder. Then u don't have to set it up inside xlobby. Also renames xlobby folder to xlobby.org if it exists before installation.
