Is there software/plugin to make a PPC act as a universal IR controller, ie to learn codes from different remotes and play them back ?

just want to add dont expect to see this functionality in xlobby...unless you find a ppc application that would take in parameters for ircodes...then you could trigger that app from the xlobby ppc client on a button press.

I think I'll write a PPC app that will take command line arguments from XL and pulse the proper IR codes. I just wanted to know if such app exists first before writting my own. Just ordered an Axim X30 from DELL, should be arriving sometime nextweek, then I'll give it a bash

Don't hold your breath. I ordered my x50v on the 28th December and it only arrived on the 21st January.

The screen protectors took just over 3 weeks also. (from Ireland)

BUT my replacement PPC was delivered the next day.

that would be great if you were able to write a little app like that. it doesn't sound like it would be too complicated, and would add a great deal of flexibility with the ppcs.
