master volume for zones in new release.

Postby billberet on Thu Jan 14, 2010 5:27 pm

Hi guys,
was the feature to have the active zone work with the main volume control included in the latest release.
http://xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=50509#50509

I am asking because i am using my custom skin, and the master volume controls do not work on the current active zone.
Is the feature built in to the default skin? If so, no problem, i could always transfer the code to my skin.
or was that feature missing on the release?

any ideas?
thanks

First download the latest bleeding edge build.

Second, you will see on the music volume control sliders, the variable %zone>1>volume% or something like that, you will want to use %zone>current>volume% instead. You can use the existing volume commands to control with a button just don't use the additional "zone set" command you don't need it since you just want to control the current zone.

The next full build will have a current zone control volume buttons and slider at the top left corner, if you want to wait. Or you can use the attached file to copy and paste those button to where you need them.
