Help 40p17...music doesn't load...

Postby jmv on Fri May 07, 2004 2:28 pm

Help! I just started using 40p17 (was a 39 man)...and also just started using music (was strictly DVD user). Well, I ripped all my CD's to .FLAC format, and configured Winamp to use the in_FLAC.dll...

So now I want XLobby to load up the music, so I added my 4 zones under the F2/general tab, then I went to Basic tab, and entered the top level directory for my music files (files are in the ALBUMS\ARTIST\ALBUM Title\filename.flac structure), I press "Import", and the scan pop up comes up and it finds...zero files!!!

Argh! What did I do wrong...do I have to tell Xlobby that FLAC's are music files somewhere? Do I have the wrong filestructure? Is this not even the right place in Xlobby to be doing this? Help me before I go......NUTS!!!

In earlier releases you had to set the file types to include mp3... I don't
see that option any longer... However under F2 there is a "File Types" tab
that may solve your problem, add winamp with flac in the extention
block...

Hope this helps, if not someone else will be around to help later I'm sure...

I had this with 17, you have to map the drivge otherwise it wont load, my stuck about 2/3rds through, mapped the drive and all was well. I reported it as a bug.

Go into setup/databases

Click the import tab then load the 'music' template in the drop down.

A list of extensions is in the extension list - add flac.

Close the setup screen and reopen it then try the import again - it should work (I had to do this for ape files)
