Playing Zoomplayer across two logins on the one PC?

Postby muzz on Mon Dec 18, 2006 2:54 pm

Hi

I'm using XLobby on a Viewsonic V110 airpanel, I currently use it for music, tv channel control, multi-room switching and the weather plugin, but would like to incorporate movies into that as well

The problem is that the airpanel uses remote desktop that only gives you one display (800x600), so my LCD TV and projector currently work off a second login on the PC (using a hack) and I use TVedia for browsing/playing movies with an RF remote

Is it possible to use XLobby to launch and control Zoomplayer on the second login? Everytime I try to use it its only on the same login as XLobby is running.

Perhaps I don't understand your setup but have you looked at Zoomplayer's ability to be controlled via TCP?

Sounds like the kind of thing that could work!

How would you send the commands from XLobby?

Sorry I can't help you there, I'm just an idea man not a programmer. Perhaps one of the other forum members might be able to help you by creating either a plugin or external app that can send Windows API messages via TCP. As an ugly workaround you could use something like PSExec that will execute an application (in this case a simple batch file or script) on a remote system to control ZP.
