Xlobby Button Library

Postby BaddaBing on Fri Sep 09, 2005 6:05 am

Here are a some assorted button I knocked out one night. Nothing too fancy, but may come in handy for those that would like to tweak the look of their Xlobby setup. All the button have at least a default and down status - you can combine and rename the buttons in order to get all three states (default, enter, down).

Here are a few sample shots of the buttons included:

And using the default skin, here are just a few examples of what you could do:

Hey Badda, take a look at this link over at the avsforum site:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthre ... ost6166027
Just wanted to show you how I modified your skin and added a few screens to it. Maybe you could incorporate some of these ideas...
BTW, the buttons I used are from the http://www.remotecentral.com site. I forget the name of the artist right now so I will post it later.

hjackson,
Sorry about the late reply - I'm not spending a lot of time on the forum anymore as its been pretty dead - our host seems to have found other more interesting hobbbies. I notice that even our moderator, jowaldo, hasn't posted in almost 3 months. Hopefully things will pick back up again, Xlobby is a great app that I would hate to see just fade away.

Anyways, to get back on topic... That's a nice setup you have there. I like your use of wireless touchscreens. I use a wired 12 inch Elo touchscreen in my setup.
I have my theater posted on AVSForum as well, its <a href="http://gallery.avsforum.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=7440385">HERE</a>
My nick on AVS is afrp_inc.

I've heavily modified my personal copy of HeavyMetal as well. Here is a shot of the main menu. I added 'sliding doors' for quick access to volume, channel and transport controls while hiding them from view when not in use. I've also modified all the other screens to make them more touch screen friendly as well as to personalize so that my version is unique.

How dare you hold out on us! Damn you! The drool out of my mouth has just shorted out my keyboard! There is only one way for you to amend for this insolence ...

--------------------------------Off topic-------------------------------------------

I’m sad to notice that there are less and less of xlobby update and the forum less active… that does not encourage the members to post their skins and to be more active on the forum…
On the French team, we have a lot of project for xlobby. And we believe on xlobby, for me, xlobby is, so far, the best front end and it still having some advance on others fronts ends. But to keep this, xlobby must continue to be developed every time !!!
I understand that steven is the only one developer and it’s not easy to do everything, but maybe the solution is that steven look for one or some others developers….

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

baddabing I’m still developing and adapting your skins, I’m interesting for you “heavily modified” . is it possible that you post or send to me your skin. or your new buttons ( I saw some news “images”).

Later,

I hope to see you happier on this forum. We need you and you experience on xlobby..

Sure XLobby is the best! Probably all older members designed their skins and are now just enjoying XLOBBY experience :-) (I know I am!)

cheers,

Dalibor

P.S. When I get my Axim next week, I'll be continuing skin development :-)
