Covers in movie section

Postby jpoveda on Mon Jun 28, 2004 7:37 am

Hi,

I have a problem with covers on my movies database. I have a folder d:\movies with 3 movies movie1.avi movie2 and movie3. Two of them have cover as movie1.jpg and movie2.jpg. When I import the database, xlobby assigns movie1.jpg as cover of movie3.avi and movie3.jpg doesn't exist.

It doesn't work from version pre14 to pre27.

Thanks.

xlobby assigns movie1.jpg as cover of movie3.avi and movie3.jpg doesn't exist.

You think I should just assign nothing to movie3.avi in that case? You can always edit that manually. I think it would be easier just for you to download the proper cover art.

Have the same issue. When you start getting your movies organised (e.g. after a nice HD upgrade) It doesn't really make sense to look at 50 "Bridget Jones Diary" covers. It's like getting invaded :D

Of course there's the solution Steven points out - search&retrieve covers.

Hi Steven,

I have more than 40 movies in my HD and more than 600 in CD. It is more dificult get non existing covers than xlobby don't assign a cover when the cover doesn't exists. I'd like xlobby works as music database, when a cover doesn't exists, xlobby doesn't assign one. Imagine with music, I have more than 1000 albums.
Today's Tip. Create a empty cover jpg and name it as _.jpg, but if it could be, I prefer xlobby doesn't assign a cover when it doesn't exists.

Thanks a lot Steven, and I want to congratulate you for your program, the best I tested (And I tested a lot).

Hi,

I said to create a _.jpg but, I don't know why, it doesn't work now, the file should be named ZZZ.jpg to work

Hi,

I think xlobby choice one image depending on rules in import database tab.
