same here. I added .mov in file types, gave the path to WMP and added "%parameter%".
See the trailer but no audio. Using cyberlink powerdvd7 graph and ac3filter.

i posted the issue in mantas.
i can render my movie as mpg, or avi. but then it gets big in size.
my video i made is 12 megs on .mov = 23 megs .mpg = 124 megs .avi

you can see MOV is the way to go.

don't think it's a XL issue. Mov audio req directshow filters that u prolly don't have. Search google, and I think(don't know for sure) there''s a solution.
Same with zoomplayer or mediaplayer classic if I am not remembering wrong.

A note to be careful with this plugin. I was testing it for BB and have lost audio on a bunch of my movies.
Am clueless what to do at the mo'.

<edit> I installed it on 2 machines. The server with SPDIF is the one that got hammered. The other PC uses component video and is fine </edit>

ok i installed with no problems, everything still works 100%,
Jay
maybe you had some specific issues on his end that caused your sound loss, it ran smoothly on my side, but still won't play in XL.

i can now play mov files in media player outside of XL, but it still won't play within XL.
i am using cyberlink graph file. does this mean i need to get mov files to be able to play within cyberlink?
i noticed cyberlink dvd 9 now plays mov files. i am using 6 which is recommended by wes and the crew.

i can always download version 9 and see if it plays.
any insite would be helpful.
thanks again

***EDIT****
ok i just downloaded and installed cyberlink power dvd 9 ultra
WOW, what a program, everything runs soooooo smooth!!!! including my mov files.
BUT
i didn't install it on my XL machine yet, i installed it on another xp machine.
i'm still debating if i'll install it on my XL server, i'm waiting to see if Wes or the guys have any insite on this subject.

Bill, if I had issues, they never showed up until I installed the driver and Quicktime. And, you'll remember that my XL server did play your trail with audio.
The server is Vista.
Problem is, I seem to have lost all LPCM and AC-3 audio on my videos and movies on the server, the clients render fine.
I uninstalled your driver and Quicktime and did several cold boots. I removed mov from file types. No good.
A spot check of my vids and movies indicates that PowerDvd 7 plays them OK. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it.

Hey Bill (again).
I just took my server's 2nd instance touch screen client out of mimic and I have audio in that instance. What think? Drivers must be OK. I'll copy over my latest server backup.

ahhhh, your using vista.
yea, their codecs might run differently, that plugin was for xp.
how about a fresh install, so we know what is being used. then take an image of the server.
so going forward you'll have a working image.

i think i am going to take wes's advice and convert my mov file to a format xl can play, like mpg.
sorry for the headache :)
i'll make it up to ya

Well I did uninstall it and the 2nd instance touch screen on the server works perfectly when I take it out of mimic mode.
So, Vista's drivers should be OK. And, I did a reinstall of XL (moved the exisitng one to a desktop folder) and copied a good one in its place).

Just can't get LPCM to play on server instance.

Well I found it.
For whatever reason, your plugin reduced the Media Player DVD Volume to 54%. The client's was at 84%.
I couldn't hear it a 54 because of the receiver's volume setting.
Now why is the pcm softer than AC-3? Donno.
It absolutely did screw up AC-3, however. But I fixed that this morning.

So, let's call it a draw. 1/2 bottle of Grey Goose for each of us :D
