thumbnail layout - split text

When editing a category in alpha40.1, how do you go about using the "split 1" thumbnail layout?

I want to display the artist name variable above the thumbnail and track name variable below the thumbnail in a custom database I have made for music videos.

Is there a special character to enter into the "Display" field on the "edit category" screen that will cause the split to work?

You can use any of the tags from the data base.

After I realised there was a slash between those percentage signs it worked a treat

Is there anyway to choose the alignment of the this text?
I want to center the text both above and below the thumbnail.

Just tick 'centre' under the button/font section.

You can change the size and font as well.
