XNET Server/Client Cover Art not showing on Client

Postby humphrep on Sat May 28, 2005 8:45 am

I am very new to Xlobby. I have XNET working with my movies and databases on a server. I have a htpc client connected to the server. I can play my movies from the Movies tab on the Client, however I am not getting the cover art.

Is this normal?

If it is, is there any work around? I want to be able to use the server/client approach so I only have to manage one database, but I need the DVD Covers to be on the clients machines.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

did you ever get a response? I have one HTPC\DVD Server that has over 200 movies, trying to set up a seperate fat client to pull from the server. installed xlobby, but when I enter the IP in the setup screen on xnet, restart xlobby it never loads.

XNET is for audio only.
Humphrep, DVD cover art should show up on the thin client. Are you using the thin client or the fat client?

The most common cause of this is when unc names have not been used on the server, ie dont use a mapped or local drive name, use the full network name.
