As far as i know the options you have are it, I expect they are hard coded and can't be changed...i've never seen mention of it anyway (i asume we are talking about the layout styles??)

I would start by reading these:
http://xlobbystuff.googlepages.com/XlobbySkinning.pdf

http://xlobbystuff.googlepages.com/Even ... Sheet2.pdf

*EDIT*
Opps, I thought, you were after learning how to start a new cat....not change the layout structure...sorry...mis-read....still some good reading though

Ive asked this very same question once before, cause at that time the capability to do just that would have been very benefitial for some coding task i was doing back then, cant remember anymore what. Even back then our experts were reluctant to chime in or didnt have answers. So until proven otherwise, we can consider that task as mission:impossible. But if somebody can provide solution im very interested also. Then i just need to hope somebody can remind me what i was doing back then :( old age does not come alone, not only is my memory fried up, but ive overclocked the processor so much that fur is giving up in the air interface

depending on the version of xlobby you have the answer is sort of :)

if you have a version new enuff and you only want to show a cover you can the cat offset functions to simulate it, create a text vbox and set its text to category>xyz>cover>offset>angle and it will shiow teh appriopriate cover, you can then position them as needed (eg to show the prev mmoive cover the text is category>movie>cover>-1>0)

here are two layouts i have knocked up using this
