Minimum refresh time for thin client

Postby scottw on Fri Mar 30, 2007 4:25 pm

What is the lowest setting anyone is using for a refresh on the thin client? I was using 5000 (5 seconds) on my touchscreen. I am adding BaddaBings now playing "screensaver" and would like it to refresh sooner to take advantage of the moving background. I set it to 1000 (1 Second) and it seemed ok but just wanted other thoughts and maybe what you are using.

Thanks,

On our axims we're using 3000. The only place that you really notice it is in the now playing screen where it shows the progression of the song. As for the pc thin clients, we're mostly running the ppc screens so we can have it windowed and docked in the corner. I believe we're running 3000 on those too, but only because we copied the servers.txt from the axims and modified it for the window..

Thanks,

I have been running it at 1000 for a few months now and have not noticed any performance hit. Only running at 1000 to take advantage of BaddaBing's now playing "screensaver" :D

edit: oh and this is on the pc thin clients.....PPC's are at 3000

I can run 1000 on my ppc but when I do on my old(old old old) portable with touchscreen the cpu spikes so much! so the fan starts. Therefor I run at 2500
