MKV files

Postby acesup_11 on Thu Mar 12, 2009 12:37 am

I am trying to get into Xlobby because I bought a new touch screen pc and this seems to be the best front end for an HTPC for touch screen. I have all my files in *.mkv format.

I also have all my file in folder\movie
so batman\batman.mkv

I tried using the importer in xlobby with the mkv files and can't get it to work

I tried using xscan and i think im getting lost in translation because i cannot get that to work either.
can someone point me to an easy guide to get this up and running or walk me through it... Thanks so much.

Some of us are using the xAnt plugin with Ant Movie Catalog. Do a search for xAnt and you should get alot of info there. If you still have any questions post back and I will answer the best I can.

Edit:
Just did a quick search and come up with a topic I posted in here:
http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5404&hilit=+xant+tutorial
Here is also a tutorial post on Marbles site:
http://xlobbystuff.googlepages.com/XantGuide.doc

Hope that helps a little.

There is a way to add some sort of batch/script to add multiple movies...let me see what I can find. Even if you don't want to use Ant I should still post it in case someone else wants it :)

have u modified what file types that should be imported? I don't think mkv is on the default list. And if not in the list, XL will not import it.
