Does XL's Web Browser work with a PW-protected page?

Postby Jay on Tue Sep 09, 2008 12:45 pm

I'm using the IP cam page which comes with XL to monitor my IP cams at my vacation home.
I want to add non-camera controls to that screen.

I threw an I-frame together and tested it in IE 7 with the cam's default servlet page.
See pic.
I'm challenged for my user/pw, I enter them and it works fine. Operate the garage door, lights, etc.

But, if I try the control page in XL's browser, the buttons work but nothing happens.
Is this because of the user/PW requirement?
If so, is there a workaround?

Clarification. I forgot to mention that the control page's user/PW dialog does NOT appear in the XL browser.
It opens by itself but doesn't fire any events.
Hence my question.

Turns out that the user/pw popup challenge is blocked by XL.
They're taking a look at this.

Jay,

We have a few ideas to fix this, trying to get V3 out this weekend. Maybe we will have some answers for you early in the week. If I forget about you, send me an E-Mail or call me.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have a few webpages that I access through the Xlobby browswer that issue a password popup (i.e. my router, my webcam) but xlobby's browser does not show me the password popup.

Was this issue ever resolved?

wow this is an old thread, I added a new option to bleeding edge under the "Skin" tab called "Internal WebBrowser Allow New Windows" check that off and it should allow new window pop ups.

Thanks for the quick response, Steven. I'll test tonite and report back.
