Xtuned Volume 1

(Edited 5/9/04: Updated some screenshots. Still working on the rest. )

Just started on this skin and would appreciate any feedback as to the functionality and design of it. This is based on an 856x480 (widescreen) size which I mainly use for my hdtv. Movies are 1920x1080i but that's on zoomplayer. Anyways, here we go:

Splashscreen:

Main Screen. The transport buttons below will let you play random music off of your music database.

The following shows the menu navigation using overlays.

Music Screen.

Still working on this playlist.

Movies Screen.

Photos Screen.

That's all folks. I still have a lot to finish. The tv section will be tied up to BTV so that should ease some work.

80% of the graphics I did in Photoshop. The splash, main & video backgrounds I got off the net (deviantart) and was tweaked in PS, the rest I created from scratch.

Looking better and better - overlays look awsome - are they actually functional.

I read you are trying to make it remote friendly - I just hope that all the 'lettering' is not part of the button image coz on my normal TV i ususally have to make the text bigger to read.

Can't wait for your release.

Thanks Simon. Yeah, those are already functional, except of course for the others like dvdburn, cdburn, lock and a couple, if that's what you meant. These are reserved for the plugins that will :roll:

or should be coming, erhm, soon. I just want it future ready so I don't have to go back and reedit my skin. Steven was, I've heard, going to add a screen lock or some sort so that should go nice with my exit menu.

The other reason I'm redoing my skin is to stay away from embedding fonts into buttons so yes, those text are editable.
