Updated for Widescreen - May 2

The skin's designed for 1024x768 and 1024x580 resolutions and works best with ZP and foobar - let me know what you think! So far, the GAF (Girlfriend Acceptance Factor) has been nice and high...apart from the amount of time I spend working on the skin :wink:

on your exit buttons when you are copying CD's I would take the exit cdex command out, so you can switch to different screens without stopping the copy.

Also all of the buttons in the players show letters such as A,B,C instead of the play symbol, search and so on

No problems - the skin uses the Automaton and Colby's xlobbydings fonts - they're both in the zip file (or here), so you'll just need to copy them to C:\Windows\Fonts.

Just finished throwing together the widescreen version (1024x580).. see the first post for the download link.

Excellent Job dusk

The only thing its missing *in my case* is an internet radio page to complete the package. *Just My Opinion Only... No intention here to badmouth your skin...just my 2 cents* :)

Guys like myself use the htpc for alot of radio listening.. Music/Sports/Talk.

Really like the look of it...

Thanks for the comments Rick - I appreciate where you're coming from.

Rather than having a separate page for the radio, on my setup I just combine it all on the music page.

What I have is a directory structure of:

Music
+-Alternative
+-Radio (where all the .m3u files are stored)
+-Rock
+-etc...
... with subfolders in each for all the albums.

I've changed my music.xml file a little too so that the top level for each genre is "folder" rather than "album" - that way you can open each folder and view the contents directly.

Here's a little snippet from mine...

Code: Select all
 <item>
 <parameter>D:\Music\Alternative</parameter>
 <coverart>D:\Music\Alternative\Alternative.jpg</coverart>
 <display>Alternative</display>
 <type>folder</type> <-- here is where I change it!
 <subitems>
  <item>
  <parameter>D:\Music\Alternative\Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland</parameter>
  <coverart>D:\Music\Alternative\Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland\Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland.jpg</coverart>
  <display>Electriclarryland</display>
  <type>album</type>

Of course, it might just be easier if I stitch up a radio page... :roll:

Thanks for the info dusk:

I'll add the radio stations to the music page.

**Of course, it might just be easier if I stitch up a radio page...**
That would be a bonus!!! :D :D
