Ip Radio Version 2.0.8210.14

Postby smarty on Sat Aug 02, 2008 3:57 pm

Wes/Steven,
With the latest release (2.0.8210.14) three of the IP radio streams seem to work "for a playing or two", and then they become "unable to connect". The streams are COUNTRY, JAZZ and TECHNO.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Being from Texas, I really like my COUNTRY.

Thanks

Steve

They are working fine for me, sometimes a stream can be busy. This is an indication that to many people are listening to that stream or they have a limit thats been exceeded. Eventually we will have full access to Shoutcast stations directly inside xLobby so you will have selections to all there streams. :D

Also see this post from the xLobby news section: http://xlobby.com/news/2008/02/18/xlobb ... shoutcast/

Try these, edit the file under Skin, IP Radio

Or you can use the superb Shoutcast plugin here which works fine with the internal player   although be prepared for a bit of skinning!!

Thanks Wes.

I still believe there is a possible bug involved. I went to the .977 website and picked off the following URL for the COUNTRY channel "http://cdn-two.977music.com/club977country?.wma"

When I put this in the Xlobby play file event, I am able to connect and play the streaming COUNTRY channel (although the streaming file name display is now messed up.....ie the audioplayer>now>%trackname% and album name now come back as unknown ).

I wonder if the "commercial" that is first played when you connect to the stream has anything to do with it. The URL above has no initial commercial. When you go to the .977 website and play the country station from there, THERE is an initial commercial.

Anyway...maybe diferent geographic regions are routed to different physical servers...some with initial commercials some without??? Just a thought....
