Is there a way to render multiple maps for a given location?
The plugin only offers one choice so far as I can see.
All else is perfect for my needs.

Depends. If you are interested in one weather location and want to use xoapweather then you can create multiple instances of the same location with diferent radar maps for each instance.
Clicking "Next" will have no effect other than on the radar screen

The other option is just to use the Xlobby URL function and past various weather radar sites.

If I may ask, who is developing XoapWeather? I use both XWeather and Xoap, because I use 2 different Image sets - in XWeather I use standard images, and in Xoap I use backgrounds (those big images with weather conditions someone created like in windows xp default wallpaper with grass hill and skies above). I would, ofcourse, prefer to use just one weather plugin, but that would mean to add functionality to use 2 different image sets....

it's funny you still have that issue, my weather plugin is fast as ever,updates in seconds.
i stand by my theory that the zip code is located on a server that is having issues, not the plugin.

Bill. Could be since no one else is complaining.

I use a PA - 19035 and a SC - 29455 zip. The plugin's functionality comes and goes in sync at both locations. This is on 3 XL3 machines.

as a test, try my zipcode 11758 for long island new york
i have that and 11428 for queens.

i'm sure the issue is on their end, but if you have it working with the other plugin, might as well stick with what works !!!!

Interesting. With your 2 zips, I get plenty of maps but no detailed outlook info nor current image.
I'd say the plugin was broken but I've had this thru any number of complete installs and I do request the plugin each time.

I'm using Baddabing's suggestion of multiple location instances to get multiple maps and it works fine. I do miss the close-in maps though. All of xoapwx' seem to cover broad geographic areas. I'll visit their site to see if there are any more than appear in the plugin.

Steve did fix xweather in a recent build but I have had some intermittent issues since. I update every 10 minutes.

According to Steve:

" there was a runaway memory leak / polling error in xweather don't know when it got put in there....so polling the data to fast caused the machine to be locked out from the weather website....so if your on dsl and renew your ip it should probably start working again....if not you might have to leave it alone for a few hours....I dont know the exact time...thats why you see it work every so often"

version 3.0.9071.10 or better addresses this issue.

I just logged into my V2 XL down in zip code 29455. It runs xweather which points to the same 2 zips. 19035 and 29455.
It's working perfectly. Both locations are on Comcast.

I'll be there Easter week and will upgrade to V3. Will see if it messes up.

You do realize that you can use any URL based weather map with Xoapweather?

Buddabing, or anyone else...has anyone been able to solve the issue that xoap does not refresh after a system has come out of standby? That was the driver for me to go from xoap to xweather. I wake the music server, but xoap would not update unless I restarted xlobby. The logs indicate that it did an update, yet nothing updates. I've asked for help numerous times in the past, but no one has come to my aid. I'm surprised that others haven't expressed this issue.

I've always liked xoap a little bit more than xweather, but that issue pushed me away from using it.
