Bill,

You obviously installed the driver correct ? Also the VGA cable goes directly to the touchscreen and the other end VGA-USB cables to your xLobby. What version of windows is this ?

hey wes, is there a calrad specific driver, i already had touchkit installed for the other touch screens i have.
but when i plug in the calrad monitor, i get unrecognized usb. I will try the program from the link above, i will let you know how it goes.

thanks

**edit**
hey,
i tried everything, removing all the drivers, reinstalling touchkit, no luck, says USB unrecognized - usb device malfunctioned.
same for both monitors i got. I am running out of options to try, i will see what i can do.
all my generic touch screens work fine, just the calrads are not recognizing the usb.
I am running XP with sp3

i know i am not missing anything, it's a straight forward plug and play. So could you step me thru the process on how you installed your touchscreens.
i tried 2 windows xp machines, 1 tablet xp (samsung q1), all same results, generic touchscreens worked, calrads do not.
i also removed all baluns and extenders and tried connecting directly to the machine, no luck.

could i have gotten a bad batch of monitors?
thanks

hey again,
i tried the monitors on 2 T60P ibm laptops.
they never had the touch program installed so it would be a fresh install.

no luck with either, says USB malfunction.
i believe these monitors might need to be exchanged.

i plugged my generic touch screens, and they worked without issue.

Bill,

I don't understand how you have 2 units that don't work, my appologies, this is not exceptable. I have already sent an E-Mail to Bob Adams in xLobby tech support explaining your situation, he will assist you if you call first thing Monday.

***edit****
found the issue, the problem was between the keyboard and the chair.
ID10T error, i was actually one of those people i always make fun of after i get called for tec support.
i had the cable backwards, i will now crawl into a hole and be quiet.

****take 2*****

i hooked up my calrad touch screens, very nice, i give them a 10 out of 10.
i am using their VGA balun over cat5, the picture is as crisp as if it was plugged in locally.
Resistive touch: i give a 10 out of 10. no need to press hard, just a feather touch is all you need.

I would recommend the calrads to anyone that needs one, you may pay a little more but you can see where the money goes.
i have many china knockoffs, (3 actually) and you really have to press hard, or even use your nail to get it to register, not to mention they are flimzy too.

so over all, i am loving calrads touch screens.
