Xlobby and TT2.0

Help each other out

Xlobby and TT2.0

Postby PiDD on Tue Oct 12, 2004 2:56 pm

I just installed TT2.0. Everything worked fine before the upgrade. Now when I hit play TT just sits there with the TT logo. I can play DVD from the DVD drive and TT2.0 so I know it works.

Is there some config I have to do with Xlobby?

Same here...first one to get it to work, please let us know (I did use the Xlobby setup to select the correct TT app since the file folder is different after 2.0 install)...let us know how to get this puppy running again.

I hope it is just a small change and a new exe.

I have been playing with TT2.0 and does it look good.

I believe we need to use the following switches:

/NOSPLASH /AP 2 /PATH %parameter%

TT2 need the path to the actual IFO, but the only variable I can seem to get working is %playlist% which only does the directory

If you installed to the default directory then use this path for xlobby

C:\Program Files\TheaterTek\TheaterTek DVD 2.0\TheaterTek DVD.exe

dont forget to add the extra types of files, avi, ts, wmv if you want TT to play them (probably).

All works fine for me :)

EDIT: hmm, strabge, just tried the NO SPLASH switch that Chad just mentioned and now nothing will play at all, even having removed it :?

Some more TT 2.0 problems

Postby rhinoman on Tue Oct 12, 2004 7:36 pm

right click on a ts file and then choose open with, choose TT 2 exe - from the program list and when you come to choose the program it disappears, it does however play when you open the file from within TT.

wmv files will associate with TT but when you doubli click to lauch, the program starts but the file doesn't play.

avi - I get no sound from any of my files??

mpg - wont play - it just sits and stitters

The above associations are not relevent to Xlobby because you tell it what to associate with but most still wont play after lauching the program.

I uninstalled TT and 2.0 and then just reinstalled 2.0, ifos now launch fine from the harddrive but not xlobby.

I'm sure it is just a quick fix for either Xlobby or TT. Too bad this wasnt tested and discovered. I hate buying something and it doesnt work as promised.

Do I read this right, TT 2.0 will play .mpegs? How about .vobs (rather than the .ifos)?

Got Xlobby to launch DVD's in TT2.0. Evidently, it wants the file name passed on the command line. So I modified the command line string from:

/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%

to: (drum roll please)
/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%video_ts.ifo

luckily all my rips are the same and use the video_ts.ifo conventions...

I was able to get TT 2.0 to work by simply unclicking the enable button for TT in XLobby. Go figure.

Mine still wouldn't work using the

/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%video_ts.ifo

but it does when you disable Theatretek in Xlobby, well done OldMan.

Sorry, there was a typo in my original post. The CL parameters should have been:

/AP 2 /PATH %playlist%\video_ts.ifo
^
|
added backslash between % and video

sorry for the confusion. I also tried the disable "fix" and that also seems to be working...
