Hi jowaldo,

I'm experiencing the same problem with the ppcmusicjump overlay. I've
tried to figure out what the problem is, and while I assume you'll get
around to fixing it, I'd like to understand how it works (or does not work).
My confusion is on how the "press>A" parameter for the "A" element of the
musicjump is supposed to work. In a movie/music database, this would
point to the file/directory, I don't see how "press>A" jives with this, but
I do see from experimentation that changing this affects how the jump
works.

If I haven't mentioned it before, excellent skin!

Sorry it took so long to reply... I haven't had much time lately to check the board.. I'll take a look at this, and let you know what I find.

Hi all...

Its been a while since I've had a chance to update my skin, but I did do some work on it, mainly on the music screens so far. The main idea is to try and finally get the skin to flow together better with the buttons I use (and the style change page) and to just simplify the skin. The trick is to do that without loosing features.

I'm gettin close to done, but I thought I'd post a screenshot to see what you guys think.. Let me know..

Yeah I had to squeeze it a bit.. but not too bad tho.

I have the next/prev page buttons on the playlist screen... I thought I fixed that a while ago?

Jowaldo,

I am still using your older skin as my default. I still thinks it's the best. I wouldlike to use your newer one, but don't really like the way the musicnow displays the titles. In the old skin, just the pictures are displayed. Before I make the change, is there an easy way to make it look like the old music screen? Thanks

Yeah super easy... just open up the skin editor (hit the pause/break key on your keyboard)

Then click the music category object in the skin where the album covers are showing so that it is selected. Then in the skin editor window click the Item tab, then category, then layout... Under that choose "default missing"

You may have to resize the category box to get it just the right size, but otherwise you'll be good to go then.

The more I think about it though, I think I'm going to go back to the old way I displayed the albums, how you like it.. I think I like it better too that way.

Since you answered my last question so well, here's another one for you. I am now using your new skin as my default. I really like it without the album cover names. When I use it on my desktop, which is 1600x1200, it displays perfectly. On my laptop, which is 1920x1280, it doesn't display properly. Is there an easy way to make it work without lowering the resolution?

Quite a few things need to be adjusted in my skin to get it to display correctly with any widescreen resolutions.

For the most part it has to do with the "aspect ratio" check box on the default tab in the skin editor. If you select objects in the skin that don't seem to be resizing correctly, just play around with that checkbox and it usually fixes most problems. Someday soon hopefully I will get around to fixing all of the pages so they resize well to widescreen ratios.

Still haven't been able to get it to work with your new skin. Guess I'll just go back to your old one. It's still great, just wanted to be able to use some of the newer stuff. Your old one works fine widescreen.

if it says that.. it probably is beta 1 which is pretty old... Could you zip a copy of it up and send it to jowaldo2k at hotmail.com ?

I can take a look at it then and compare what the difference is, and hopefully fix it in my newer skin.

Jowaldo,

The new skin looks great, any estimate when you will be able to post it?

Many thanks,

Thomas
