Speakercraft 8 Channel Amp BB835 advice

Postby AirPost on Wed Apr 27, 2005 6:01 am

Hello fellow earthlings,

I need some feedback on this Speakercraft 8 Channel Amp. I just bought a Rotel preamp and processor and am looking for a good, inexpensive multi-channel amplifier that can drive my 5.1 setup. I was thinking of bridging 6 channels for my front L/R and center speaker and the remaining 2 channels for my surround.

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I know they are really big on home speakers but I'm not sure if their multi-channel amps are great as well. Their amp line is geared towards zoning.

Incidentally, anyone here selling a multi-channel amp (Adcom,NAD,Rotel,Carver, etc..) ?

Here's a link to the brochure

Thanks for any feedback.

I have an Adcom 7000 THX amplifier (5 channels). It works great.
I am also using 2 Marantz monoblocks (MA-700) to drive my subwoofers and a Denon 3802 to drive my back channels.

we sell speaker craft out here in Australia, well, one of the very few retailers.

from my experience with speakercraft is that they sound great and are extremely reliable, aswell as built well.

Personally I would get a Sherborn and use a couple of Power Amplifiers with it
