Hey Everyone-
I'm looking to get a newn hdtv at some point soon. And Have been looking at this model:

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product. ... 5745063000

And am wondering what poeples expericences with hooking their xlobby/htpc up to and hdtv like this one have been? I had a chance to check this one out at my local sears and I was taken back by it, very nice indeed. Thanks in advance!

You probably know this, but...
to plug your PC to HDTV (Y-Pb-Pr) input you will need VGA to Component Transcoder which is another $100 ....

Well it depends on the video card. ATI Radeons will do component out with an ATI dongle that you can get for a lot less than $100.

that is true, but unfortunately only for some of the ATIs (from ATI web site):

"VGA to YPrPb Adapter (black) is for use with RADEON™ 8500 class graphics boards. This includes:
RADEON™ 8500 (64MB)
RADEON™ 8500 (128 MB)
RADEON™ 8500LE (128MB)
ALL-IN-WONDER® RADEON™ 9600 Series"

There is also DVI to YPrPb, but you have to have card with DVI.
