How to make a goup of buttons translucent?

Postby Cabinetguy on Thu Jul 10, 2008 12:27 am

Hi everyone,

I use Lar282's Mediaportal plugin and noticed that the buttons in the Mediaportal skin go translucent when not in focus.
I think I know how to do it for one button at a time, but I would like to do it for a group of buttons.
Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I do this by using the "set button state" in conjunction with the "run event" command. I just create an event that turns the buttons the state I want and then refer to that event using "run event". Works like a charm.

Will this work with say a group of 9 buttons?
I am using baddabings HTTC_CF skin, and what I want to do is have all the buttons on the left side of the screen be at like 50% opacity, then when I enter one of the buttons the whole group of buttons would show 100%.
The reason that I want to do this is that I run Xlobby on a projection tv and after 3 years I am starting to see a little burn in on my screen where all the buttons are.
I thought that this would be the ticket to screen longevity.

Thank you,
Brian

I dont see why not. I use it to toggle several buttons to a default state when I turn a zone off. All the volume and balance buttons go back to the default state (off).
