How would one go about adding favourite buttons that you could assign stations too?

Maybe if you give me money, I will tell to you how that it works...   I’m joking….

It’s the same way that you can use to differentiate online/offline movies: Go to the setup menu, databases tab, select the database shoutcast and then press “edit”. In the new window, select your favourite radios and check “online” for every radio that you want…

Now, you have to assign a picture for your online item,
Go to the skin editor, select your category and go to the “category” tab, then “display” sub-tab:
Press online button and select the picture that you want for your favourite radios (online radios)

An other way is to select a picture (setup menu, databases tab, select the database shoutcast and then press “edit”. In the new window, select your favourite radios) then assign a “cover” for every item that you want.

Voila,

Dge

To make this feature more user friendly you want the facility of assigning an event to a button on your remote that sets the status to offline.

Good to see more people are starting to think of creative ways to use overlays, however we need events to be able to control category information, like offline.

Check out this thread for a new feature and cast your vote.

QTips, you will not be able to sort correctly your database without subdir, that why I did them.
anyway Here : http://france.xlobby.com/forum/dgemily/Shoutcast_to_Xmlnosubdir.zip is the Shoutcast_to_Xml.vbs to build your database without subdir (just one click).

I noticed that too...so I keep it with subdirs since the searchpage is very good to have.I made a couple of buttons to quick make a favourite list with the new event set variable. So now I am a happy shoutcast radio listener :)

hy,

We can not use "House" as parmameter, there is not a section "House" you must use "Dance" then you will have house stations  .

here is the list of all categories (paramter-category) :

TopTen - Top 25 Streams
Alternative - Alternative
Classical - Classical
Comedy - Comedy
Country - Country
Dance - Dance/House
Funk - Funk
Jazz - Jazz
Metal - Metal
Mixed - Mixed
Pop - Pop
Rap - Rap
RnB - RnB
Rock - Rock
Talk - Talk
Techno - Techno
80s - The '80s
70s - The '70s
World - World

I did it for u

Here ( right click on it, save as...)
download it and place it on your databases repertory.
this bases is build with "-ProcessGenre House" parameter and "-MinimumBitRate 128"
there are 46 stations

Thank you again for your help, i downloaded the file and placed it in the database folder.

I go to setup/database tab and see that the file is listed, but when i go to the netradio screen i am not showing any stations or when i hit genre.

Sorry for the newbie questions but i have been searching the forums ,,,, do you know a link that will assist me?
