SP2 issue

I'm having an issue with Windows XP SP2. I have downloaded some of the zipped skin folders and whenever I extract the files using the XP extraction wizard, it is extremely slow, taking over a minute in some cases. With SP2 uninstalled, it takes about 2 seconds to extract the files. I haven't yet experienced this problem with other zipped folders so it must only be certain files types that cause it to slow down. Just wondering if
anyone else with SP2 has experienced the same thing?

SP2 is not the most consistant...
I installed it and had some different issues. I then uninstalled it (issues dissapeared) and proceeded to uninstall a ton of apps and clean up the registry and system folders. Took several hours.

Then I reinstalled SP2 and all is good...

make usre to uninstall all apps like Alcohol 120% and such that takes control of driver files (atapi.sys) and such.
