xLobby 2.0 has stopped working message box

Postby Bill Lott on Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:10 pm

Anyone else seeing this. After xLobby has been running for a period of time I get a message box that says xLobby 2.0 has stopped working. Sometimes it is within hours of starting xlobby and other times it may be days. Either way, xLobby is still working but I have to move this message box to the bottom of the screen to keep it out of the way. If I click on the "x" in the box it shuts down xLobby. I suspect it might be due to temporarily losing internet connection. Is there a way to stop this message from appearing?

Thanks

Enable logging to File and see if there is anything useful.
Is it a .Net error messagebox? If so paste info here.

Thanks Jay. sometimes misery loves company! I forgot to mention that it does happen on the clients as well.

I just started a clean log and will try to identify when the problem occurs and post.

Hi
My XL never dies nowdays and I truly believe it's one of your plugins. It usually is -:(
You know the drill. Remove all plugins and "try" to operate XL for a time. don't forget to backup your skin before removing the plugins.
Nothing in the OS event log at the time of the crash?
Does your plugins have logs?

:)
did you move to windows 7? or are you still running windows server.

I think you nailed it. I removed all the plugins I had except the ones Bill listed above and things are very stable. Running the server with three connected clients and all seems solid.

THANKS!
