Calendar

Postby ingalls on Sat Oct 02, 2004 4:26 pm

I would like to know how to do a calendar module in Xlobby

I saw it in Airpost's media center xtreme edition, but I really don't understant how he did that.
Is it possible to import automatically datas from Outlook?

Thanks for help!!

HAHA, you asked about one of the parts I haven't even played with yet. I'm guessing the calendar is a plugin. Where did you get it from?

There is a calendar plugin bu it doesn't do much. Just creates an empty calendar database - there still isn't a way to import anything or edit data...

ingalls,

I'm sorry...you were right to post some of those questions in the skin thread. I guess I didn't look close enough.

One of your questions was about how to change from thumbnail to list. IF you go into the skin editor and select the edit catagory tab you will find a check box for that functionality.

Hiller with new variable set event, a calender plugin might be cool, (I cant seem to find the orginal calender plugin)

My thoughts are these,

there would be a category called calender
its linked to a perpetual calender db so it will never need updating
each year and month of the current variable date would sortfilter the category to display the current calender month.
Days would be blocks within the category (thumbnail view)
clicking the cat item would open an overlay with appointments
appointments could be added here using variable set

It would also be nice to have an event trigger by date and/or time
like an alarm clock.

I am no plugin guy, but it doesnt seem so hard to do.
