Windows CE 3.0 ?

Does anyone know of a way to install the .Net Framework on a Windows CE 3.0 system, particularly the Jornada 720? Is it even remotely possible?

Of course this is to be able to use the PPC version of Xlobby.

Thought so too.

But it doesn't seem to be it.

The Jornada is from a friend of mine who would like to use it for Xlobby.

We downloaded the CE 4.2 from the link you mentionned. Hold on to your hat, it required 15 gig (yes, as in gigabytes) and did not download anything to the Jornada. It took over 1 hour to install on a P4 HT 2.8 gig...

It seems to be a developper tool only.

you cant install the .net framework on a handheld, you have to download the compact framework.

Hi everyone,

My friend SDumas is trying to help me. I currently have an HP Jornada 720. IT is really a great unit and I love it !!! It has touch screen, MP3 player, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access and IE 4.01.

The HP web site says it is running the "Handheld PC 2000 Operating System" ?? I am not sure what is the difference with Pocket PC 2000, but we have not been able to install the ".NET Compact Framework 1.0 Redistributable" for Pocket PC 2000 and Pocket PC 2002 ?? We always get unsupported version of CE ??

Does anyone have an idea on what we could do to get xlobby to work on this version of Windows CE (ie. Windows CE 3.0).

Unfortunately I think you are out of luck.

Handheld PC 2000 is NOT the same as Pocket PC 2000 (WinCE 3.0) and that is why you can't install .NET.

Further, XLobby was made with Pocket PC in mind and it might not work on your device even if you were able to get .NET installed.

I didnt have time to look this up, but I will agree with smurgle he knows more about handhelds then me.
