Which Live Talk software do you like to use?

Colby brought up a good post here:
http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4961

But I'm taking it one step further and starting a poll as to what the general concensus uses:
MSN, Google Talk, IRC, other...

Maybe from this we can get a common, most used online chat method for everyone.

I'll start...since I'm using Google Mail and going to use Google Sheets for presenting my future website (already started putting things there, and port stuff over from Tripod), I'm tending towards Google Talk.

Marbles,

I voted for IRC, because I was the one who argued for IRC. I'd be happy to change my vote with a clarification. In fact, I'd use any client if it allows for multi-user, long running sesssions. Does google talk allow us to have a community chat?

I am looking for a place to hang-out (aka lurk). I'm not sure Instant Messaging (one-on-one) is the best mechanism for me. e.g. Colby is not liable to be pinging me about how to use Photoshop, but he might get tired of me asking him about every random graphics issue.
:D

I use Trillian, because it enables IRC, Yahoo, MSN, AOL (or Mac Ichat) and ICQ. So really it doesnt matter what the format is other than googlechat I can connect. Used to, there was a Java chat on here, its since gone to the wayside. MSN is my preference, or Ichat.

Is there a chat module on the french forum I can join?

I have used Trillian for Google talk (which is Jabber underneath) or do you mean googlechat? It appears there is a service called googlechat, which has nothing to do with Google.com

OK, so I'll start hanging out there. I knew this channel was there, I just never saw anyone around.

Thanks!
