Triggering event groups from a plugin?

Postby dalanik on Tue Jul 25, 2006 10:27 am

I know it is possible to trigger any command from a plugin with the SendCommand() function.

But what about Events created by users?

I.e. if I have an event with SEVERAL commands I made in event manager, can I also trigger that (Sort of like a parameter we specify to XEvent plugin which can then execute user created events with multiple commands)?

I suppose xevent can do it by parsing every eventgroups (xml files) at the start up. Then it use SendCommand() function.
Maybe there is another way but I’m pretty sure xevent do like that because you can’t execute an event just created without restarting xlobby…

xPerT does that. Either within xlobby with its call command or outside via PervTalk...
(and way Dgemily describes is way xPerT does it too...)

Thanx for your replies. So I guess that means no...

At least now I know how to implement it, once I don't feel so lazy ... :-)
