Postby hjackson on Thu Dec 16, 2004 9:05 am

I don't now what happened to cause this, but my IR controls stopped working inexplicably on my Xlobby install today. When I checked the setup, I noticed that my USB-UIRT plugin was now "offline"!! WTH?? I now cannot set it back "online". Please help.
Thanks in advance!

Actually, I continued to periodically have the same problem until recently when I purchased a new HTPC. I am not certain yet if this is a PC vs a USBUIRT problem.

Any chance your old HTPC had an ASUS p4p800-e motherboard? I've had this problem off and on for a while now (very infrequent, fortunately) and I've always chalked it up to the Asus's wacky USB bus performance (another of my ASUS boards lost USB functionality altogether).

My motherboard is a biostar MNCG400. I will check for any update bios for my motherboard...

Turns out there was a bug in the .exe. See this thread. The latest .exe should should solve your problem.

"I found the bug, I introduced it a week or so ago."

My problem with the USBUIRT started over one year ago, and it involved the device spontaneously "uninstalling itself" from the OS.
